Germany's economy, which has been a powerhouse in the EU, reported slight growth in the second quarter of this year. Meanwhile, preliminary figures show a half-point growth in the EU for the same period.

This follows the first positive reading of an important measure of the manufacturing and services sector in months.

However, some experts are hesitant to call it a recovery, citing ongoing energy problems, inflation, and global conflicts as potential risks.

Carsten Brzeski, chief eurozone economist at ING, notes that the EU economy has shown resilience despite challenges. He attributes this to European companies benefiting from Asian competitors being hurt by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
