EUR/EGP Rangebound Outlook Ahead of Key Resistance Test
The Euro vs Egyptian Pound (EUR/EGP) exchange rate has been trading at EGP58.8135, showing a modest gain on the day and moving slightly above its key short-, medium-, and long-term moving averages.
The ECB reported a EUR 0.5 billion decline in the Eurosystem's net foreign currency position to EUR 348.4 billion for the week ending August 14, 2026, and base money increased by EUR 7.9 billion to EUR 3,973.7 billion.
Despite this stable monetary backdrop, technical indicators are showing signs of overbought conditions, with several momentum indicators such as RSI (71.59), Stoch RSI, and CCI signaling a potential near-term exhaustion.
The projected range for the next 2-3 days is between EGP58.5194 and EGP59.1076, but analysts note that a move below the Ichimoku Kijun support at EGP58.4466 could open room for a brief corrective pullback.
