EUR/INR Edges Higher as RBI Initiatives Bolster Rupee Strength
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken significant steps to bolster the Indian rupee, raising $136 billion through capital-raising and special forex swap initiatives. This move has strengthened the rupee's position and contributed to recent momentum in the EUR/INR pair.
The RBI's increased reserves have improved its capacity to manage the rupee's stability, with higher non-resident Indian deposits also playing a key role. As a result, the euro versus Indian rupee exchange rate has edged higher, but remains below key short- and medium-term moving averages.
The EUR/INR pair is trading at ₹109.8414, with oversold conditions dominating and a projected five-day range of ₹108.787 to ₹111.0246. Immediate resistance is at ₹110.1571 and support at ₹109.8777, which are likely to guide short-term moves.
