EUR/JPY Bulls Eye 185.00 Resistance Amid Japan's Slowing Economy
The EUR/JPY pair is trading at around 184.54, with bulls eyeing the resistance area of 185.00.
The Euro has been climbing for three consecutive days against a weak Yen, weighed down by Japan's disappointing GDP figures.
Japan's economic growth slowed to 0.3% in the second quarter, missing market expectations of 0.5%. Year-on-year growth was at 1.1%, compared to the anticipated 2.0% rise.
Economists at Brown Brothers Harriman attribute the disappointing numbers to a softer growth pulse and sluggish domestic demand activity, which will do little to ease Japan's fiscal concerns.
