EUR/USD Edges Higher Ahead of US NFP Data
The EUR/USD currency pair is holding steady at around 1.1630 against the US Dollar on Friday, maintaining gains from Thursday's trading session.
The US Dollar faced sharp selling pressure following dovish comments from Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller, which indicated a possible pause in interest rate hikes if inflation data remains under control.
Investors are awaiting key nonfarm payrolls (NFP) data for August, due to be released at 12:30 GMT, and the pair's near-term bias remains mildly bullish, supported by its position above the 100-day simple moving average (SMA).
