The EUR/USD currency pair held steady around 1.1550 on Wednesday, despite some initial volatility following the latest US inflation report.

The data showed that Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation eased to 3.4% year-on-year in July from 3.5% in June, with a monthly increase of 0.1%, reversing June's decline of 0.4%. Core CPI, which excludes food and energy, rose 0.2% month-on-month, while the annual core rate slowed to 2.5%, all in line with forecasts.

The US Dollar showed only a modest reaction, with the Dollar Index (DXY) edging slightly lower after the release, as investors remained cautious about making significant adjustments to their Fed rate expectations.
