Euro Area Broad Money Growth Hits 3.4% in July
The euro area's broad money growth rose to 3.4% in July 2026, up from 3.3% in June, according to data released by the European Central Bank (ECB). This marks a slight increase in credit conditions for suppliers and buyers.
Adjusted loans to non-financial corporations also strengthened, increasing to 4.4%, while household loan growth edged up to 3.1%. Meanwhile, M1 eased to 3.1% from 3.5% in June.
The ECB's data shows that the annual growth rate of total claims on euro area residents stood at 2.4% in July 2026, compared with 2.3% in June.
