Euro Area Inflation Hits Three-Year High, Impacting Hungarian Forint

The Euro area inflation rate has hit its highest point in nearly three years, sparking attention on potential European Central Bank actions. The move is already affecting the Hungarian Forint (HUF), which experienced sharp intra-day fluctuations against the euro.

According to analysts at Traders Union, EUR/HUF is trading modestly up for the day and holding above its key moving averages. Despite this resilience, the pair remains in a low-volatility session.

The technical indicators suggest that EUR/HUF is in a strong bullish phase, with overbought signals and a high probability of remaining within the Ft368.37 to Ft372.07 range over the next few days.

However, analysts note that a clear break above Ft372.07 could trigger accelerated gains, while a slip below Ft368.37 might prompt deeper retracements on the downside.
