Euro Area Monetary Aggregate Growth Slows, Loans Remain Stable

The European Central Bank has released its latest monetary developments report for June 2026. According to the report, the annual growth rate of broad monetary aggregate M3 increased to 3.3% in June from 3.0% in May.

This marks a slight improvement from the previous month's revised figure of 3.2%. On the other hand, the annual growth rate of narrower monetary aggregate M1 decreased to 3.4% in June from 3.7% in May, with a revised figure of 4.0%

The report also noted that the annual growth rate of adjusted loans to households remained unchanged at 3.0% in June, while adjusted loans to non-financial corporations also stood at 4.0%, remaining unchanged from the previous month.
