Euro Area Monetary Growth Slows in June Amid Rise in Corporate Deposits

The European Central Bank released its report on monetary developments in the euro area for June 2026, revealing that the annual growth rate of M3, a broad monetary aggregate, increased to 3.3% from 3.0% in May.

This growth is attributed to an increase in marketable instruments (M3-M2) by 4.5%, up from 3.2% in May.

A notable trend in the report is the rise of corporate deposits, with the annual growth rate increasing to 5.3% in June from 4.2% in May.
