Euro Continues Downward Trend Against Pound Amid Low Volatility
The Euro (EUR) continues to lose ground against the British Pound (GBP), marking its third consecutive day of declines on Monday.
The cross dropped to 0.8555 at the time of writing, a roughly 0.3% decline from last week's peak, while the Pound held up better in a moderate risk-off tone tied to renewed tensions between the US and Iran.
Analysts at ING attribute the Pound's carry demand in a low-volatility environment, with EUR/GBP seen as stable around 0.8550 levels for now.
