Euro Edges Higher Ahead of Germany's Inflation Release
The Euro has edged higher to near 1.1600 ahead of Germany's Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation release on Monday.
Fed's Kevin Warsh signaled that rates could be raised if policymakers believe inflation is too high, emphasizing the need for confidence in underlying price dynamics moving towards the 2% PCE objective.
The EUR/USD pair has gained traction to around 1.1590 during early Asian trading hours on Monday, despite the hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Warsh.
Traders will take cues from Germany's preliminary CPI inflation data, expected to rise to 2.9% YoY in August from 2.8% in July, which could boost the shared currency if it shows a hotter-than-expected outcome.
