Euro Falls to Historic Low Against Lek in August
The Albanian euro exchange rate has hit a historic low in August, with one euro valued at an average of 93.36 lek, according to the Bank of Albania.
This marks a significant depreciation against the lek and continues the downward trend seen over the past few months.
The increase in foreign currency supply due to tourism is a key factor contributing to the euro's decline. The summer months see high inflows of euros from tourists, which increases the supply and demand for lek, favoring its strengthening.
