Euro Futures Show Breakout Potential, Traders Await Confirmation

The euro futures market is showing potential for a breakout above the Fibonacci area, but it's essential to wait for confirmation before entering any trades. According to recent data, the spot EUR/USD price is currently sitting near a reported €2.1bn cut at 1.1675-80, which could keep prices magnetized until the cut expires.

The combination of timed option gravity, compressed ranges, and vulnerable Dollar positioning gives traders an edge in this market. However, sell-side views are split, with some expecting further Dollar weakness and others seeing the euro rebound as temporary. This makes timing a crucial factor in making trades.

Traders should wait for spot EUR/USD to break and hold above 1.1687 before entering any positions. Failure to do so, with a spot close below 1.1651, would indicate a reversal back into the range. The main risk is that the expiry shelf and US data keep spot prices trapped or reverse the breakout.
