Euro Markets Rise Amid Tensions and Falling Exchange Rates
European markets saw an increase in value as investors closely monitor US tariffs. The Stoxx 600, FTSE, and DAX all fell on U.S.-Iran tensions. However, despite this, European indices managed to climb higher. The EUR/USD exchange rate and the pound retreated. Yields climbed.
London's UKX index rose by 0.27% after UK retail sales increased 4.2% year-over-year in June. Germany's DAX index gained 0.54%, with its composite PMI expected to grow in July, driven by manufacturing growth. France's CAC index rose by 0.08%, with services expected to improve in July.
