Euro Pushes Towards 1.18 as Gold and Crypto Markets Rally
The EUR/USD currency pair is on the move, pushing toward the 1.18 level as traders weigh in on divergent central bank policies and shifting risk sentiment.
According to technical analysis, the euro's upward momentum has been building, with several short-term moving averages broken above and a relative strength index (RSI) in bullish territory without being overbought.
The European Central Bank's more hawkish tilt is also contributing to the euro's gain, while the Federal Reserve appears to be nearing the end of its tightening cycle. This narrowing interest rate differential between the Eurozone and the U.S. historically supports the euro.
Gold and silver are also catching a bid, with both displaying bullish chart patterns. Gold continues to benefit from safe-haven demand amid geopolitical uncertainties and expectations of a less aggressive Fed, while silver is outperforming on strong industrial demand and a weaker dollar.
Cryptocurrencies are participating in the risk-on mood, with Bitcoin and major altcoins posting gains. The digital asset market appears to be responding to improved liquidity conditions and growing institutional adoption.
