Euro Rebounds as US Treasury Yields Ease Amid Military Tensions
The euro has begun to recover from its two-week low against the US dollar in European trading on Thursday, driven by bargain buying and a weaker US currency.
US Treasury yields eased, contributing to the decline of the dollar. The euro rose more than 0.2% against the dollar to $1.1614, from an opening level of $1.1588, after hitting a session low of $1.1584.
The US dollar index fell around 0.2% on Thursday, extending losses for a second consecutive session and moving further away from a three-week high.
Markets are awaiting Friday's US employment report for August, which will provide crucial clues about the likelihood of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike in September.
