Euro Slumps Against Albanian Lek Amid Market Volatility
The Euro has hit new historical lows against the Albanian Lek, falling by 0.15 points to 93.13 lekë as of August 5th.
This decline is part of a larger trend that began in January, with the Euro depreciating by 3.8% since the start of the year and 4.3% compared to the same period last year.
The Bank of Albania has been intervening in the foreign exchange market to buy currency, but their efforts have only partially slowed the decline of the Euro.
