Euro Speculators Boost Net Short Position by Over 17,600 Contracts

According to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), large currency speculators have slightly increased their net short position in the Euro futures market. The non-commercial futures contracts of Euro futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net short position of 42,616 contracts in the data reported through September 08, 2026.

This represents a weekly addition of 17,691 net positions. The CFTC's COT report provides insight into market positioning and sentiment among major players in the futures markets.
