Euro Strengthens on Reduced Fed Hike Expectations
The Euro has strengthened above 1.1550 as reduced expectations of Federal Reserve rate hikes undermine the US Dollar's value.
This development comes after softer US inflation data, which has dialed back expectations of tighter Fed policy.
ECB chief economist Philip Lane stated that Eurozone inflation at 3% remains too high, but his comments were seen as mildly dovish, limiting immediate upside for the Euro.
