Euro Takes a Hit Ahead of Crucial US Jobs Report

The euro dipped against the US dollar on Friday as investors awaited the release of the US Nonfarm Payrolls report, a key indicator that could influence the Federal Reserve's next policy move.

Market participants are cautious ahead of the report, which is expected to show a moderate increase in jobs. A stronger-than-expected reading could boost the US dollar and tighten Fed policy, weighing on the euro.

The eurozone has been experiencing softening economic data, with manufacturing activity remaining in contraction territory and inflation pressures easing. This has led to expectations that the European Central Bank (ECB) may pause its rate-hiking cycle sooner than previously anticipated, further pressuring the euro.

The US Nonfarm Payrolls report is scheduled for release at 8:30 AM ET, with economists surveyed by Bloomberg projecting a gain of around 200,000 jobs. A robust jobs report could push the EUR/USD pair toward recent support levels near 1.0800, while a disappointing number might trigger a rebound toward 1.0900.
