Euro Tumbles Against Pound as Inflation Fails to Boost Single Currency

The Euro (EUR) took a hit against the British Pound (GBP) following the release of Eurozone inflation data on Friday.

Eurozone headline inflation rose to 2.9% year-on-year in July, up from 2.8% in June, driven by stronger energy prices and concerns over price pressures across the region.

Despite higher inflation, which could support tighter European Central Bank (ECB) policy, the Euro struggled to gain momentum due to investors' cautious outlook on the region's growth.

The British Pound, however, received a boost from the Bank of England's latest monetary policy decision, with markets repricing expectations for higher UK rates amid persistent inflation risks.
