Euro Zone Bond Yields Fall Amid Declining Oil Prices
Bond yields across the euro zone have dropped after reaching multi-year highs due to declining oil prices.
The benchmark for the euro zone, which is the German 10-year bond yield (Bund), fell 2.7 basis points to 3.1845% on Friday.
This comes after it reached a 15-year high on Thursday at 3.1872%, amidst concerns about inflation and potential policy tightening from central banks worldwide.
The region's economy remains vulnerable to imported energy costs, and the European Central Bank (ECB) has left open the possibility of a September interest rate increase.
