European Economic Calendar Highlights Key Inflation Data Amid US Market Focus
The European economic calendar is packed with data releases today, but market attention will focus on the US JOLTS report and ISM Manufacturing Index. The eurozone's preliminary CPI inflation reading for August is also expected to show a significant increase.
The US JOLTS report, which tracks job openings, is forecasted to show 7.313 million openings, down from 7.359 million in the previous month. The ISM Manufacturing Index is expected to ease slightly to 55.2 points, still above the 55-point threshold.
In Europe, several countries will release their manufacturing PMIs, including Spain, Switzerland, France, and Germany. Italy's unemployment rate is also due for release.
