European Stocks Bounce Back Despite Inflation Worries
European stocks rose on Friday, driven by signs of economic resilience and robust earnings from companies in the region. The pan-European index gained 0.59% to close at 654.18 points, but still ended the week lower due to concerns over inflation.
The region's economy is showing signs of growth, with business activity increasing at its fastest pace this year thanks to new orders in manufacturing and renewed export growth. According to S&P Global's Flash Euro zone Composite PMI Output Index, economic activity reached its highest level since November.
Despite the positive data, investors remain cautious due to uncertainty over inflation, which is being driven by elevated oil prices and Treasury yields. As a result, the European Central Bank may become increasingly hawkish in its monetary policy stance.
