European Stocks Stagnate Amid Inflation Fears and Political Uncertainty
European stocks experienced a flat day on Monday due to inflation concerns and political turmoil. The STOXX 600 remained unchanged at 649.9 points, indicating no significant movement in the European market.
The main index in Switzerland dropped 0.8% after Novartis's drug trial underperformed expectations.
Germany's DAX also decreased slightly by 0.2% due to political disruptions following the far-right party AfD's victory in Saxony-Anhalt.
However, Axel Rudolph of IG noted that the DAX's decline reflects political caution rather than economic panic.
