The eurozone economic sentiment has continued to recover in August, according to the latest survey results. Consumer confidence levels remained steady at -15.5, while economic confidence rose to 98.4, beating expectations of 97.5. Industrial confidence saw a slight improvement, but services confidence jumped to 5.8, surpassing forecasts of 4.9.

However, there is a warning sign amidst the positive trends: consumer inflation expectations have increased to 33.0, marking the first time since April that this indicator has risen. Meanwhile, selling price expectations continue to fall, dropping to 16.4 from 17.8 previously.

The European Central Bank (ECB) is already expected to raise key interest rates again in September as it seeks to position itself to combat more stubborn inflation pressures heading into the new year.
