Eurozone Inflation Reaches 3.3% Amid Rising Energy Costs

Greece's inflation rate accelerated to 3.7% in August, marking a sharp increase from July's 2.7%, according to Eurostat.

The European Central Bank (ECB) is under pressure ahead of its September meeting, with the eurozone's annual inflation rising to 3.3% in August, up from 2.9% the previous month.

Energy prices were the primary contributor to this increase, jumping 14.3% year-on-year in August compared to July's 10.3%. Services inflation eased slightly to 3.0%, while non-energy industrial goods saw a modest rise of 1.2%.
