The Eurozone's inflation rate unexpectedly accelerated to 2.9 percent in July, driven by surging energy costs and sticky services data.

This marks the first increase in several months and has raised concerns about the European Central Bank's (ECB) monetary policy roadmap.

Energy inflation surged to 10.0 percent year-on-year, up from 8.5 percent in June, due to the expiration of Germany's temporary fuel tax rebate and increased Middle East conflict-driven Brent crude oil prices.
