Eurozone Money Supply Growth Ticks Up to 3.2%
The Eurozone's M3 money supply growth rose to 3.2% in July, up from 3.0% in June, according to data released by the European Central Bank (ECB). This modest acceleration indicates continued but measured monetary expansion across the 20-nation currency bloc.
M3 is the broadest measure of money supply in the Eurozone, including cash, bank deposits, and other liquid instruments. The ECB closely monitors M3 growth as an indicator of future economic activity and inflationary pressures.
The annual growth rate of M3 has been on a steady but slow recovery path over the past year, following a period of weak monetary expansion. The 3.2% figure remains within the range observed since early 2024, reflecting a cautious yet stable monetary environment.
