Eurozone PMI Holds Steady as Disinflation Stalls
The Eurozone's private-sector growth remained solid in August, with the PMI Composite holding steady at 52.0, matching July's eight-month high.
This indicates that economic activity is still resilient, despite some softening in services sector growth, which eased from 51.7 to 51.6.
New orders and employment continued to rise, with export orders also returning to growth for the first time in four-and-a-half years, driven by manufacturing.
The Eurozone's largest economies, Spain and Italy, led the expansion, while Germany posted its fastest growth since March and France remained in contraction for an eighth consecutive month.
