Three Federal Reserve officials dissented from the central bank's decision to keep interest rates unchanged at its recent gathering, citing persistent inflation as a major concern. Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack and Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari expressed worries that despite temporary catalysts such as President Trump's tariffs and the Iran war, inflation demands intervention.

Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan aligned with them, stating that even if inflation moderates, it is unlikely to fall fully to the 2% objective unless the central bank raises rates. She cautioned that absent policy restraint, inflation would likely remain above target until an unforeseen shock occurs.
