Federal Reserve Building in New Orleans to Become Rare Coin and Precious Metals Hub
New Orleans Silver and Gold is relocating to the former Federal Reserve building in downtown New Orleans. The company, owned by Alex Ackel, has purchased the historic neoclassical landmark with a partner and plans to open its new headquarters by the end of September.
The Security Center, as it's now called, will nearly double the number of safe deposit boxes available at the site, offering 1,500 units. This is seen as an opportunity for investors in physical security assets, which Ackel believes are positioned for a major resurgence due to AI hacking concerns.
Ackel is expanding operations to cater to collectors and investors seeking tangible assets, including rare coins and precious metals. The company will host live auctions and provide another outlet for clients to sell their merchandise at the highest price.
