Federal Reserve Holds Firm on Interest Rates Amid Inflation Fears
The Federal Reserve has made its latest decision regarding interest rates, choosing to leave them unchanged at between 3.5 and 3.75%. This move comes as a surprise to some, given concerns over high inflation.
The decision was made in a 9-3 vote by the Federal Open Market Committee, with three members dissenting from the majority view.
Fed Chair Kevin Warsh acknowledged that addressing inflation is not a simple task, saying 'We have no magic wand. This isn’t something we’re going to be able to carry out in days or weeks.'
