The Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at about 3.6% on Wednesday, marking the fifth consecutive meeting without a change.

This decision was made after a two-day meeting of the central bank's rate-setting committee, which voted 9-3 in favor of holding rates steady.

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh emphasized that the central bank has 'no tolerance' for elevated inflation and reiterated its target of 2% inflation.

Warsh acknowledged that there was a divided vote among policymakers, but expressed confidence that the committee will deliver price stability.
