Florida has become the 14th largest economy in the world, surpassing Mexico and Australia, with a nominal gross domestic product of approximately $1.8 trillion, according to the Florida Chamber Foundation.

The data from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis puts Florida's nominal annual GDP at $1.8346 trillion in 2025, up from $1.7267 trillion in 2024, representing a growth of about 6.3%.

Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation, attributed the progress to the free enterprise model, low taxes, and reduced regulation that set the state apart.

The foundation's calculations indicate that Florida would need another 2% growth to surpass South Korea and take the 13th position. To reach the top 10, where Canada currently holds the tenth spot, would require nearly 21% more growth.
