Financial markets were shaken on Friday as the US unexpectedly lost jobs in July. The nonfarm payroll data revealed a stark contrast to previous expectations, leaving investors and analysts reeling.

Elizabeth Burton, Chief Investment Strategist at Fortress Investment Group, shared her insights on CNBC's Closing Bell with Scott Wapner. She expressed skepticism about the labor market, stating, 'I also don't know that the labor picture is as rosy as it seems to be.'

Burton also highlighted concerns over inflation, suggesting that relying solely on the bond market to address the issue may not be sufficient.
