The FTSE 100 Index has continued its upward trend, reaching its highest level since March 2nd. This week, it jumped to 10,782, a 12% increase from its lowest point in March this year.

This growth can be attributed to several factors, including strong corporate earnings and the upcoming Bank of England (BoE) interest rate decision on Thursday.

AstraZeneca's stock surged after releasing impressive numbers, with the company's CEO stating that it is 'building a company that will not just deliver on its 2030 ambition, but continue to grow well into the next decade.'

Other companies like Barclays and Unileder have also reported strong results, with Barclays' investment banking division making over £4 billion in the quarter.

Analysts expect Lloyds Bank to release strong numbers, with a net income of £4.9 billion expected for the first half of the year, while NatWest is anticipated to report a total income of £4.39 billion.
