FTSE Nudges Higher as Brent Crude Hovers Above $100 Ahead of ECB Rate Hike
The FTSE 100 nudged higher in early trade on Thursday as Brent crude hovered above $100 a barrel.
Investors are eyeing an expected 25 basis points rate hike by the European Central Bank, which would take the deposit facility rate to 2.50%.
Patrick Munnelly at Tickmill Group said 'the reaction function is the story; money markets now discount two further quarter-point increases by April 2027.'
