FulcrumSec Releases Stolen Data of 8.7 Million UK Airport Customers

A cyber-extortion group named FulcrumSec has released on the dark web the personal details of over 8.7 million customers who used Manchester, Stansted, and East Midlands airports in the UK.

The data breach occurred last month when hackers gained access to the IT system of Manchester Airports Group (MAG) between August 22 and 23.

The stolen information includes email addresses, vehicle registration numbers, and upcoming travel plans of some passengers, including a judge, parliamentary workers, Home Office staff, Bank of England officials, and members of the Armed Forces.

FulcrumSec claims that they withheld sensitive information linked to future travel plans of almost 200,000 passengers due to security risks it posed.
