Next week's financial markets are likely to be driven by two key events: the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting, where policymakers from major economies will gather, along with the U.S. jobs report.

The meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors is scheduled for August 31 to September 1 in Asheville, North Carolina. Market participants are likely to scrutinize remarks from central bankers on inflation and monetary policy for signals of additional rate hikes.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent is also scheduled to attend, with market attention focused on his comments regarding support plans for the U.S. long-term bond market.

The jobs report, due on September 4, is a critical gauge of labor market conditions for the Fed's policy decisions. Nonfarm payrolls and the unemployment rate will be closely watched, especially as recent inflation data has been described by Fed Chair Warsh as 'not necessarily encouraging', with a focus on getting inflation to target levels.
