Gartner Study Reveals Troubling Trends in AI Adoption
A recent Gartner study found that only one in five AI projects have a positive return on investment (ROI) by 2025, and this metric has not changed even a year later.
Gartner managing vice president chief of research Daryl Plummer pointed out that while AI vendors are 'desperate to sell and monetise AI', the gap between momentum and risk is widening, leading to artificial intelligence (AI) inflation without the same return on value.
A study by Gartner found that 60% of Australian and New Zealand CIOs report positive value from AI initiatives, but 86% say risk is growing faster than value.
