GBP/HUF Takes Hit from Technical Selling Pressure
The Pound Sterling (GBP) vs Hungarian Forint (HUF) currency pair has been under pressure due to technical selling pressure, which has turned momentum lower. This has resulted in the pair being capped below its 20-day and 200-day moving averages, indicating persistent overhead resistance.
According to a proprietary model combining technical, on-chain, and expert data, the GBP/HUF is forecast to fluctuate between Ft421.25 and Ft426.41 over five days, with a 77% probability for an upward move. However, multiple oscillators show overbought conditions, suggesting that buyers may be getting stretched.
The pair currently trades below its 20-day moving average at Ft424.56 and its 200-day moving average at Ft427.97, while staying above the 50-day moving average at Ft420.77. This setup points to short- and long-term resistance and maintains a bearish medium- to long-term trend.
Analysts note that GBP/HUF was regaining bullish momentum earlier, supported by underlying technical strength. However, the current outlook adds a new dimension by highlighting persistent selling pressure and advises traders to watch for a potential breakout above Ft424.14 or a decline below Ft423.61 as key signals for future direction.
