GBP/USD Bounces Amid UK Investment Policies and Dollar Weakness

The pound sterling has staged a modest rebound in recent trading sessions, driven by expectations of fiscal and investment policies from the UK government.

The GBP/USD pair climbed to around 1.3540 during Tuesday's Asian session, buoyed by the pullback in the US dollar index and domestic policy signals that point to measures aimed at spurring investment and economic growth.

UK Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey has unveiled a series of measures to lower barriers to investment, expand local authorities' powers, and accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies. This has improved short-term market sentiment toward the currency.

However, underlying pressures on the UK economy persist, with monthly GDP rising 0.3% in June and real GDP growing 0.4% over the three months ending in June compared to the previous quarter.
