GBP/USD Hits Resistance as UK Jobs Data Looms
The GBP/USD currency pair has been on an upward trend, breaking above the 1.3520 resistance zone and finding support near 1.3440 against the US Dollar.
According to technical analysis, a bullish trend line is forming with support at 1.3510 on the 4-hour chart, which could provide further upside momentum for the pair.
However, the pair still faces significant resistance at 1.3580 and 1.3620, with a close above these levels potentially leading to another steady increase.
Looking ahead, upcoming UK jobs data is set to be released on July 2026, with forecasts indicating a Claimant Count Change of 11.2K, versus 6.7K previous, and an ILO Unemployment Rate of 4.8%, compared to 4.9% previous.
In related news, Bitcoin continues to face heavy resistance near $64,650 and $65,500, with a settlement above these levels necessary to decrease bearish pressure and spark a steady increase in the cryptocurrency's price.
