GBP/USD Rallies on Gulf Ceasefire Boost

The British Pound's recent growth can be attributed to a temporary ceasefire in the Gulf, which had a significant impact on Britain's June GDP. According to the latest data, the country's economy grew by 0.3% in June, beating expectations of no growth at all.

However, this growth was largely driven by services, with household spending increasing due to the temporary ceasefire and favorable weather conditions. In contrast, industrial production fell 0.2% month-over-month in June, and manufacturing output decreased 0.5%, contrary to expectations.

The Pound has been affected by these mixed economic signals, with its value fluctuating against other major currencies. Despite this, the GBP/USD pair has still managed to climb roughly two cents since August, reclaiming a key moving average band near 1.3400 that had capped it since early July.
