GBP/USD Rebounds as Soft JOLTS and Oil Decline Pressure USD
The British Pound (GBP) has seen some recovery against the US Dollar (USD) on Tuesday, after facing pressure due to soft jobs data and a decline in oil prices. The GBP/USD pair currently trades at 1.3451, rebounding from its earlier low of 1.3419.
The labor market data showed that layoffs were little changed, but the numbers were softer than expected, which might have contributed to the US Dollar's weakness. This mild risk appetite and cautiousness ahead of key US labour market releases are keeping USD bulls subdued on Tuesday.
Market hopes for a negotiated breakthrough in Iran are also contributing to the Pound's slight rebound against the US Dollar. However, uncertainty surrounding US-Iran talks is still driving traders towards safe-haven currencies like the US Dollar.
