GDP, Housing Stats Due Next Week Amid Earnings Season
Next week is set to be an important one for financial markets in both the US and Canada. On the earnings front, several major companies will be reporting their quarterly results, including NVIDIA Corp (NASDAQ: NVDA), Salesforce, Inc. (NYSE:CRM), Agilent Technologies (NYSE:A), Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU), HEICO Corporation (NYSE:HEI), Zoom Communications Inc (NASDAQ:ZM), and Marvell Technology Inc (NASDAQ: MRVL).
In the US, economic data will also be released, including the S&P Case-Shiller Home Price Index for June, new home sales in July, and consumer confidence figures for August. Additionally, initial jobless claims and trade balance data will be reported.
In Canada, GDP numbers are expected next week, with real gross domestic product expanding 0.3% in May. Earnings reports from companies such as Royal Bank of Canada (T.RY), TD Bank Group (T.TD), and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (T.CM) will also be released.
