German Bond Yield Swings Amid Global Volatility
The German 10-year bond yield has been fluctuating around 3.1% in August, mirroring US Treasury yields as market participants navigate shifting developments in the Middle East and conflicting signals over a potential deal between the US and Iran.
The resulting rise in oil prices is also being assessed for its impact on inflation.
In Europe, market-based measures of inflation expectations have risen to around 2.4%, surpassing the ECB's 2% target, while Eurozone inflation increased to 2.9% in July.
