Ghana Cedi Continues Downward Trend Against Major Currencies

The Ghanaian Cedi has depreciated in value against major currencies on Monday, July 27, 2026. According to data from Cedirates.com, a reliable platform that tracks daily currency and fuel rates, the average buying rate for the dollar is GHS11.52, while the selling rate stands at GHS12.09.

At forex bureaus, the Cedi trades at GHS11.95 for dollar purchases and GHS12.30 for dollar sales. The Bank of Ghana's interbank market shows a buying rate of GHS11.63 and a selling rate of GHS11.64.

The British pound is trading at an average forex bureau rate of GHS15.27 for buying and GHS16.20 for selling, while the Bank of Ghana's interbank rate stands at GHS15.53. The Euro is also affected, with a buying rate of GHS13.04 and a selling rate of GHS13.84 at forex bureaus, and an interbank rate of GHS13.25.
